Synopsis: After being dismissed from his employment as a newspaper editor, for writing against S.K. Vardhan, a influential politician and underworld don, Vinod Kumar, re-locates to the slums of Bombay, and starts his own publication. He soon runs into problems with the local street-gangs, one of which is headed by the notorious Raja. Vinod adopts a positive approach, and this brings out the best in Raja, who even manages to take Vinod's wife, Sudha, to hospital, risking his life, during a Bombay Bandh. Raja then decides to go straight, give up his gang, and study further, encouraged by girlfriend, Geeta. He leaves the slums to upgrade. Several months later, he returns back, anxious to get working with Vinod and his publication, only to find that Vinod is now a criminal don, who has no interest whatsoever in any publication, nor in Raja.

Review: Entertaining time with these Desi Boyz promising full value for money. Because Jr Dhawan manages to engage you at all times. Be it with his drama, romantic scenes or classroom antics. The dialogues are super witty in bits, and the screenplay near perfect. The two leading ladies, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh provide the oomph factor and in fact you later realize that they are sparingly used and it is only Rocco and Hunter (more of them later) who pull off the show.
The movie is set in the year is 2009. The place: London. The world has witnessed a meltdown and recession is at its peak. Nick (John Abraham) and Jerry (Akshay Kumar) are best buddies who share the same home. Nick is an investment banker and Jerry manages to make ends meet doing odd jobs. He has a nephew, his sister's son, who has lost his parents. Jerry is responsible for his upbringing. The state is keeping a close watch on his abilities to care for a kid. The recession has both these buddies jobless. Nick has to maintain a high-end girlfriend Radhika (Deepika Padukone), who he has just given a diamond ring to, while Jerry has to pay his nephews bills.

Synopsis: The movie is set in Dehradun, a valley in North India. The movie opens with the description of the various colleges in the city. The Rajput college has students from affluent backgrounds with each student being an heir to a multimillion fortune. In contrast, the Model college has students from poor local households. Other colleges include Xaviers college and Queens college, the latter being an all girls college with the guys from all three colleges trying to woo them.
The highlight of the town is the annual inter-college sports championship with a marathon cycle race as the prime event. In the beginning of the film, the race is contested between Ratan Lal Sharma of Model college and Shekhar Malhotra of Rajput college with the latter winning the race because Ratan had an inferior bike. After the race both are felicitated by their respective schools. Shekhar being rich and now the local champion is cocky and arrogant.
Sanjay Lal Sharma a.k.a Sanju is Ratan's younger brother and is everything that Ratan is not. He's a carefree youngster who is full of himself and is always in trouble with his father Ramlal, who wants him to act more maturely and become responsible like Ratan. Sanju and his little gang, which includes Anjali (who has a crush on Sanju), bunk sports to smoke cigarettes and roam around town. Anjali and her dad run a vehicle repair shop and Anjali's father asks his daughter to stay away from Sanju.
Ramlal and his family run a small cafe which is the hangout spot for most of the college students. A number of scuffles occur between Sanju and Shekhar because of Shekhar's attempts to humiliate Ratan and his dad. Enter Devika (Pooja Bedi), who immediately catches the fancy of both Sanju and Shekhar. Initially she leans towards Shekhar but one day she misses her bus on the way to a picnic to meet Shekhar. Meanwhile Sanju asks Anjali for a car so that he can roam around town. While on his way he spots Devika and leaves his friends at the paan shop and gives Devika a lift. Devika upon reaching her destination finds Shekhar with another girl and goes along with Sanju who, although not rich, brags about his wealth.

Synopsis: They are shocked to see Rekha seducing him. But when the henchman tries to rape her, the duo save her. On accosting her, she tells that the man was suspiciously the Victoria since her father was arrested & only the secret in Victoria can set her father free. Before they can know anything, the henchman is shot dead.

On learning the Victoria drivers story & importance of the diamonds for Rekha, the scoundrel duo decide to do one good turn. They tell Rekha the whole truth, but a shocked Rekha doesn't have a clue about the location of diamonds. Even after tearing the Victoria apart, nothing is found.

Meanwhile, Rekha falls in love with Kumar, whom she met while posing as a cab driver. She tries to woo him posing as a rich lady, a plan which works well. During night, she is Rekha, during day, just a cab driver Kumar has befriended. However, Kumar soon finds out the truth & proposes Rekha, in spite of her fathers situation.

Durgadas strictly objects the relationship. But when Kumar learns his fathers true nature, he cuts all ties with his father & forms an uneasy alliance with Raja & Rana. When Durgadas learns that Rekha is the daughter of the framed driver, he kidnaps her & Kumar. Now, he demands Raja & Rana to find the diamonds, if they want to see the duo alive.

During this deal, Durgadas's drinks are being served on an ornate tray with a fake Victoria headlamp attached to it. Suddenly an epiphany occurs to Rana-the diamonds are hidden in the Victoria's lamp! The duo rush towards Rekha's home, but this time, they have some more tricks up their sleeve.

The duo turn up at Durgadas's den, where they manage to create a confusion by luring the gang members to the diamonds. Durgadas is embarrassed to see that not one member of his gang is loyal to him. In a comical & twist filled climax, Durgadas & his remaining gang is arrested with proof. Many skeletons tumble out of the closet. It is learnt that Kumar is not Durgadas's son. Durgadas's had an infant stolen to prevent himself from being disinherited. Kumar is actually Rana's son.

Rekha's father is exonerated & set free. Kumar & Rekha beg Rana to live with them. Since they have turned a new leaf, Rana accepts while Raja decides to leave, considering that life may have something else written for him, which he has to find out himself. However, after leaving them, Raja starts following a lady in a burqa, only to be confronted by the "lady", who turns out to be Rana. They decide to live rest of their lives as common men, something they always wanted.
